Tucson Madonnari Chalk Festival

One weekend every spring, the Tucson Madonnari Chalk Festival (from the Italian name for street painters who originally made chalk drawings of the Madonna) covers the area in front of the main library with chalk drawings — and classic cars, too. The festival is fun, and parking is free downtown on weekends, so check it out (or join in)! The Tucson Madonnari web site tells more. |

I haven’t seen any notice of this festival happening in 2011. I’ll do a bit of searching. If you have some definite news, please leave a comment and give us the details. Thanks.
