My goal is to capture the spirit of the person in my work, not just a likeness. I seek to explore the sitters personality through composition, color, form and texture with paint as well as props that that help give insight to the inner character of the person. I believe that a portrait should stand on its own as a great work of art. I use only the highest quality materials and the finest Belgian Linen Canvas in my painting.
